Breaking: NYPD Officer Indicted in Shooting of Unarmed Black Man Ramarley Graham

NYPD officer Richard Haste has been indicted on first-degree manslaughter charges in relation to the shooting of Ramarley Graham, the unarmed 18-year-old who was killed in his home in the Bronx earlier this year.

NBC reports:

Security video shows Graham entering his home, and police running after him. Police at the time said officers witnessed a drug deal and pursued Graham, believing he had a gun.

They went in and found him in the second-floor bathroom, and ended up shooting him in the chest. He died shortly afterward.

Graham had no gun.

Haste is expected to turn himself in this week. He and the other officers involved in Graham's case had been working desk duty (sans guns) since shortly after the shooting.
