AlterNet's Special BIG GAY RADIO HOUR: Obama's 'Evolution'; NC Votes Discrimination; Romney and Bullying
This week, we present AlterNet Radio's first theme-show! After a huge week for LGBT news, we got a panel together to help us figure out where we stand in the fight for full equality for all Americans.
First, Joshua Holland talks to Chris Geidner, Senior Political Editor for Metro Weekly, about Obama's "evolution" on same-sex marriage, and what the administration has been doing to advance the cause behind the scenes.
The week's news wasn't all encouraging, and Kristin Rawls -- a contributor to AlterNet -- talks about the passage of North Carolina's Amendment One -- what happened and how the media assisted the forces pushing "separate but equal" when it comes to the LGBT community.
Finally, Mike Rogers, Managing Director of The Raw Story and a long-time blogger writing about GLBT issues, helps us put the story of Mitt Romney's reported hazing of his prep-school classmates in perspective.
If you're in Washington, DC, you can tune into the show at 6 pm EST at 1480 AM. If you're anywhere else, you can stream it live at We Act Radio, and if you miss it, check back later for a podcast.
