Colbert Rips Into NYPD's Stop-and-Frisk: 'They Stopped More Black Men Than Live in NYC,' Meaning There Are 'Inter-Dimensional Black People'
Last night, Stephen Colbert's "Threat Report" delved into the politics of the NYPD's controversial, racially biased stop-and-frisk tactic. "There is no greater ally in the threat against violence than the NYPD and their stop and frisk program," Colbert said, before noting the "troubling" race data (Blacks and Latinos account for 87% of stops, for starters). Colbert reasoned that the NYPD's stopping more young, black men than live in New York City either means cops are stopping the same black youths over and over, or there are "inter-dimensional" black people in New York. And who knows how dangerous they are!?
