Rachel Maddow on the Right's Dangerous "Pray Away the Gay" Programs

Last night, Rachel Maddow took on the subject of the controversial, debunked and dangerous practice of "ex-gay therapy", both by talking about the "long, tortured" history of the idea.

She also did an interview with Gabriel Arana, who works at The American Prospect and wrote the widely-circulated essay “My So Called Ex-Gay Life,” in which he details his own experience with this therapy and notes that the "Christian Right" had "planted this stake in the culture war."
