Colbert's New SC Election Plan: Vote for Herman Cain
You've seenthe hilarious attack ad Stephen Colbert's--err, Jon Stewart's--Super PAC is running in South Carolina declaring Mitt Romney to be a serial killer--of corporations, who are people too, dontcha know?
Score one for the PAC offensive.
But what about the fact that its candidate, Colbert himself has missed the deadline to get on that South Carolina ballot? Never you fear. Stephen and his team have a solution. A vote for the no-longer campaigning-but-still-on-the-ballot Herman Cain (read this amazing story about what the uncowed former candidate is up to in The Daily Beast) will count as a vote for the not-on-the-ballot Colbert. Oh, and that plan includes Democrats coming over to cast a vote for Cain too (it's an open primary.)
Whether you're confused by this plan or tickled by it, Colbert's "Word" segment last night laid out exactly why it's necessary to "Raise Cain."
