Occupy the Dream Protests Federal Banks in Honor of Dr. King
Occupy the Dream, as headed up by prominent African American clergy members and civil rights activists, is occupying the Federal Reserve today in honor of Dr. King's social justice legacy. From a press release:
Protest are planned simultaneously across the country and at 12:00pm EST the "Occupy The Dream" clergy will publicly demand and address Economic Inequality and Demand Economic Justice with a list of demands.
The Washington, DC protest will be held from 10:00am-1:00pm at the Federal Reserve Building, 20th Street and Constitution Avenue N.W., Washington, D.C. 20551.
"The evolution of Occupy the Dream is a reaffirmation of the legacy of Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.," said the Rev. Al Sharpton, in a release.
