Ed Schultz on Michigan Gov't Takeover: An "All-Out Assault" on the Voting Rights of Black Voters

After being granted the power to do so by the legislative, Michigan governor Rick Snyder has already appointed "emergency managers" to four Michigan cities, thereby invalidating the power of local voters, elected officials, and governing boards--and now he has his eye on Detroit. Sounds fishy? It should--particularly when you notice that the cities being targeted by this move are almost all majority Africa-American, which means black citizens in particular are being disenfranchised.

Ed Schultz on MSNBC has been following this story and last night he spoke about with with Ben Jelaous of the NAACP and Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee about how both the rhetoric being used to push these masures through and the measures themselves are dangerous, inflammatory, and racist.

This is a must-watch.
