Occupy the Boardroom Delivers 99 Red Balloons (And Messages) To Goldman Sachs

After Goldman Sachs refused to respond to, or acknowledge, messages sent by the people to their board and CEO, Occupy the Boardroom decided to send them directly, and quite creatively.

Today (Tuesday) at about 4pm, 99 red balloons floated up past the windows at the Goldman Sachs office at 200 West St. Attached to them were 99 different messages written by visitors to the Occupy the Boardroom website.

When the action took off, anxious-looking security stood around on walky-talkies, phones, and blackberries.  One security guard even asked the police if there were any way to kick the demonstrators out.  But police told the organizers that so long as they were not blocking the sidewalk, they were fine to continue.

Participants said they saw some employees peering out of the windows.  Demonstrators waved, but they did not wave back.

Hopefully this time, they got the message, even if they did not read them: The American people are fed up with their politics, and sick of paying for their mistakes (not to mention salaries).
