Photos: Cornel West Arrested in Harlem Protesting "Stop and Frisk" with Occupiers
A demonstration to protest the NYPD's "Stop and Frisk" policy ended up just near my own doorstep in Harlem today (Friday the 21st) with a "human chain" of civil rights leaders and Occupy Wall Street activists getting arrested for planned nonviolent civil disobedience outside a precinct house. The marchers from the occupation joined a long-planned action to show their solidarity.
Here are my photos from today's event (beginning with just a few from the Occupy Wall Street GA meeting last night which led to General Assembly's endorsement of this action).
