Unions and Students Unite to Protest Bloomberg’s Budget Cuts

New York city activist are stepping up their attacks on Mayor Bloomberg’s budget cuts. After an action at City Hall last evening, the group called “New Yorkers Against Budget Cuts--Labor Communities United” led by DC 37 including City University of New York students, staged a “sleep in” called Bloombergville. You can follow the highlights on the site and view the signs and posters calling for a “Bailout for Students” and a call to “Fight Like an Egyptian.” The groups aren't hiding their intent to start a Tahrir Square-like response to Bloomberg’s austerity measures.  Follow the highlights liveat Bloombergville.
