Jon Stewart: Sarah Palin's Bus Tour Video Reminds Me of a Commercial for Genital Herpes Medication
Last night, Jon Stewart took on the cornball, propaganda-filled "vacation video" that Sarah Palin's staff made of her recent bus trip around the eastern U.S. In particular, he poked fun at the way the video was edited to make it sound like the media was neutral-to-glowing about the tour, with short phrases like "Today she is headed to Ellis Island here in New York." As Stewart pointed out, "I guarantee you there's an editing room floor littered with phrases like, 'For some reason' and 'Whyyyy?'" In fact, the way the reporters in the video seemed to finish each other's sentences reminded the Daily Show host of something -- a genital herpes medication commercial.
