Target's Anti-Union Video Is Hilariously Corny, But Also Full of Dangerous Lies
Poor Target employees. Gawker has gotten its hands on an equal-parts hilarious and awful anti-union video that the big box chain requires all its employees to watch. Among the 13-minute video's lies:
The fictional employees' assurance that "you can get more hours" without a union—although a persistent inability to get enough hours to earn a living wage is one of the prime reasons that Target employees in New York are now contemplating joining a union.
The video also positions Target as a proud "threat to unions" and repeatedly reminds employees that they "have the right" not to join a union. Gee, what would your employees do without that sage guidance, Target?
