A Mangled "History" Lesson From Sarah Palin: Paul Revere Did What on His Midnight Ride?

Sarah Palin was in Boston yesterday, doing a little sightseeing along the city's Freedom Trail. As a CNN anchor noted in this segment, Palin stopped to discuss the importance of "the original Tea Party patriot," Paul Revere, and his famous Midnight Ride. Her version of the story was rather confusing, but it had something to do with Revere riding through Massachusetts to "send those warning shots" (didn't happen) while "ringin' those bells" (nope). Revere's message? "That we were gonna be secure, and we were gonna be free. And we were gonna be armed" (yea, not really).

Watch the clip below, via Mediaite. And in case you're interested, here's the real story of Revere's ride, with many thanks to the Paul Revere House.
