AZ Passes Birther Bill, Jon Stewart Mocks Trump's Involvement

The latest insane legislation passed by the state of Arizona: the 'birther bill,' which requires presidential candidates to prove their US citizenship before they can appear on state ballots, was approved in the state Senate by an overwhelming majority yesterday. Essentially based on super-right, completely fabricated views on Obama's citizenship, the bill will now head to the House, where it is expected to pass.

Donald Trump, who's been very busy trying to align himself with extremely radical Tea Party views for his expected 2012 bid, met last week with the bill's lead House sponsor, Rep. Carl Seel, who said Trump gave it 'the thumbs up.'

Jon Stewart had something to say about Trump's insane/'megalomaniacal' assertions that Obama was not born in the US. In an interview with Meredith Viera, the absurd reality show billionaire claimed he has investigators stationed in Hawaii who 'can't believe what they're finding.' Stewart is skeptical, and does what's probably a spot-on impression of those investigators, if they indeed exist. Watch below, via TPM.
