Last year Katie Couric, reflecting on Park51 and a toxic anti-Islam sentiment in America, suggested that perhaps the US could be better educated about the religion if there was 'a Muslim Cosby Show.' She pointed out that Bill Cosby's classic primetime show depicting a normal black family in America helped change some negative media perceptions about African Americans in general.

The Daily Show, ever game for a challenge, took her up on the suggestion. Last night correspondent Aasif Mandvi invented his own personal Cosby-based program -- The Qu'osby Show -- and in the process poked hilarious fun at some very stupid misconceptions about Muslims. Satire at its finest. Check it out, via Mediaite.
