Watch: Rush Limbaugh's Racist Freakout on Obama's Election

Rush Limbaugh's at it again. In yet another effort to rile up race fears in his fanbase, this time he had a minor meltdown about Obama, saying he wouldn't have been elected if it weren't for his skin color. Via Mediaite:

“[For] the media, the Democrat adults, and the establishment, the Clinton years were their Nirvana. And, if Obama had not been African-American, he would never have been elected. It would have been Hillary and we’d still have had the love affair with the Clintons going on. This is the injection of race into the Democrat primary and overall presidential contest did what the insertion of race does to most subjects; it totally distorts it.”

Um... okay? So the historical precedent for that comment is allllllll of the black presidents who got elected simply because they're black? Yeah, that. The fact is, Limbaugh is playing into Tea Party fears about race and trying to instill the false notion that non-whites have some sort of racial privilege in this “new America,” even though there is no evidence to back up that concept (er, on the contrary).
