Sarah Palin's Alaska Not So Psyched on Sarah Palin
On reality television, Sarah Palin may be the self-christened queen of Alaska, but in reality, her former constituents see her as more of a joker. A new poll shows that the former governor's home state has the least favorable view of her in America, with only 33% of voters seeing her in a positive light, as opposed to 58% with a negative opinion. And it's not just Democrats who disdain the Fox News stalwart -- when you break down the numbers, only 60% of Alaska Republicans like her, while Independents feel her even less, with 25% weighing in with a positive opinion. Public Policy Polling:
It's not a coincidence that the 35% of the vote Joe Miller appears to have received in the Alaska Senate race is almost identical to the 33% who have a favorable opinion of Palin. Miller allowed himself to practically become a surrogate for Palin and while that was good for letting him pull off a primary victory by the slimmest of margins it was not so good for his prospects in the general election.
Massachusetts is the only state where voters dislike Palin more than Alaska, followed closely by Michigan, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Virginia and... Florida. Magical, magical Florida. Swing states! Read more at PPP.
