DADT Officially Repealed!

It's finally done. This afternoon, the Senate voted to repeal DADT 65-31, with five Republicans lending their hand to the historic change. Obama is expected to sign the bill into law next week, but the bill still does have a long way to go -- an implementation plan still has to be drawn up, and once it's set in place the bill allots a 60-day waiting period before it's official. But it's not hard to imagine LGBT service members breathing a little easier today, knowing they can be themselves while in the service of our country. Furthermore, Harry Reid has asked the Pentagon to stop any DADT investigations and discharges immediately,  -- which means Lt Dan Cho and others like him can rest easy, too.
