Sarah Palin's Reality Show Tanks, Losing Nearly Half its Audience in One Week

Today in Palinfreude, it's beenreported that the first episode of Sarah Palin's TLC reality show caused nearly half of its viewers to run away screaming.

Episode one of Sarah Palin's Alaskawas a ratings hit for the network, drawing more than 5 million viewers. But just one week, later viewership plummeted about 40%, to 3 million viewers.

As Sarah Palin prepared to start a book tour Tuesday for her next best-seller, America By Heart, there was sobering news about one of her other products, a reality show called Sarah Palin’s Alaska.

In the 18- to 49-year-old demographic, the audience for Sarah Palin’s Alaska, which is shown on Sundays at 9 p.m., dipped to 885,000, from 1.8 million the premiere week.
