WATCH: Barbara Bush Bad-Mouths Sarah Palin: "She Should Stay in Alaska"
Is it just me, or has anyone else found themselves (cautiously) warming up to Barbara Bush lately? First it was revealed that the Bush family matriarch is pro-choice, and now she's shared some choice words about Sarah Palin.
In an interview with Larry King, which is scheduled to air on CNN this evening, the former first lady said of Palin:
I sat next to her once, thought she was beautiful, and I think she's very happy in Alaska. And I hope she'll stay there.
Zing! Her husband, former president George H.W. Bush, also expressed some doubts about the Tea Party movement:
Well I don't know what it really is, Larry. Some of the ideas make a lot of sense. But how it fits in...In the paper today they were talking about what the tea party would do to get the Republicans in Congress to do something. [I don't know] if these people were all elected by the tea party or not. I'm confused by it, frankly...But it's alright.
