Lowlife Prankster O'Keefe's Latest: Secretly Taped Teacher Chatting at Bar, Got Her Suspended
James O'Keefe is the jerk behind the ACORN "sting" that turned out be a scam, and the guy who thought it would be funny to lure a female journalist onto a "sex boat" and videotape her discomfort. Oh, yeah, and then there's the legal matter: he tried to tape Senator Mary Landrieu's office phone lines surreptitiously--and got sentenced to three years probation.
And now he's got a new target: a young woman who has won a "teacher of the year" award for literally throwing herself in front of a van to save her students.
O'Keefe's video alleging "Teachers Unions Gone Wild" cost one teacher a suspension after one of his goons posed as a chatty, friendly man at a bar and instead of asking for her number, actually taped this woman gossiping about colleagues without her knowledge--breaking every journalistic code in the books. Her comments including the story of one teacher who called a student the "n-word" and wasn't fired. But Alissa Ploshnick was suspended for repeating the word. "I felt like I was raped," the teacher said.
Ploshnick and her lawyer are considering legal action. Meanwhile Chris Christie, New Jersey's new anti-union governor, still thinks it's okay to cite O'Keefe's videos as evidence.
