Religion Scholar Demolishes Fox News Bigotry

Fox News’ ignorance and anti-Muslim bigotry shined bright over the weekend, as host Lauren Green suggested that author Reza Aslan couldn’t write about Jesus since he was a Muslim.

Aslan’s new book, Zealot: The Life and Times of Jesus of Nazareth, challenges conventional wisdom about Christianity’s founder. But instead of focusing on the book’s content, Fox religion correspondent Green focused on Aslan’s religion.

“I believe that you've been on several programs and have never disclosed that you were a Muslim,” Green told Aslan.
