What was once arguably the most "admired bank in America," is now the country’s most hated, according to last night's All In With Chris Hayes.

JP Morgan Chase & Co, the target of at least eight Justice Department investigations, announced a Q&A Twitter chat this week for students to ask the bank’s vice chairman for career advice by using the hashtag #askjpm.

The move resulted in an immediate backlash from some 6,000 twitter users.

All at once the ‘hate tweets’ began pouring in...

“Do your settlement lawyers and social media people sit at the same table for lunch or different tables?”

“Why did you think this would be a good idea?”

“Did you have a specific number of people’s lives you needed to ruin before you considered your business model a success?"

Almost as fast as the social media move was announced, it was called off with the bank tweeting – “Tomorrow’s Q&A canceled. Bad Idea. Back to the Drawing Board”.

Back to the drawing board indeed JP Morgan.
