Just when you thought the Republicans were going to hold their syrupy rhetoric to a digestible minimum, events took an ugly turn last night when their load of sugar coated pabulum backed up in their own mouths and spewed a projectile vomit of nonsense across America's television screens. All right, maybe that's a little tough. Come to think of it: no. Its not."American dream". "American dream". Sure the American dream is alive, only not here in America. We haven't heard word one about jobs, but we did get an earful of Newt Gingrich, fresh from exile under a rock GOP security had been stomping on all week, gurgling in front of a national audience that "Freedom is beach volleyball". You can't make stuff up like this. Beach Volleyball? That must make synchronized swimming the ultimate secret goal of Thomas Jefferson, right? The true cause for the fall of the iron curtain: rhythmic gymnastics. They finished with a lame pep rally by head cheerleader Susan Molinari doing her doe eyed Bambi impression. "Mother, please wake up", complete with key shots of her stunt baby which had obviously been starved for 36 hours so she would slurp on cue. She even used polls that showed more teens admitting to drug use even though last week it was revealed she lied about having smoked marijuana. So what you're saying Susie, is, kids should lie to pollsters. God, it almost makes you yearn for grim yet hard hitting overview by John Tesh.
