War in the Middle East

The conflict in the Middle East has reached a boiling point. Israel has declared war and occupied large areas of Palestinian-controlled territory, destroying property and repressing virtually all aspects of Palestinian life -- with the tacit support of the United States. Meanwhile, Palestinian suicide bombers continue to kill dozens of Israeli civilians, further eroding hopes of peace.

AlterNet provides reports from and about the conflict-ridden region, where many are questioning aims and the effects of the Israeli invasion and the terror tactics of radical Palestinian groups, and continue to work towards a peaceful solution.
