Brand Obama is Fading Fast ...

Not so fast Naomi, Brand Obama is fading fast.

A new poll shows Obama at 49% approval. His programs are rated even lower. While people support the public option Obamacare is a loser.

Obama's Asian trip was a disaster. Japan said get more troops off our soil, China pointed out our duplicitous behavior and students in South Korea protested against the War in Afghanistan.

Obama has been outed as a Sell Out by leading black columnists and bloggers. Bob Herbert and Glenn Ford are wondering where Obama's policies are for black unemployment.

The Unions are going their own way after Obama has unchecked Card Check.

The general public is growing skeptical and angry of the bailouts and bonuses of Wall Street as foreclosures climb and unemployment skyrockets.

His EU standing is falling fast as the climate talks in Copenhagen look to be a bust even before they have started.

His handling of the Honduran coup and the Columbian Military Base agreement have Latin America looking askew at Barack's real intentions.

He's got no core, He's all image, He won't take the lead on anything and it's business as usual, Bush III, but with better PR ... His silver tongue will not fix this mess.

Obama's honeymoon is so over. Twitter that!

Punks that are ignorant of the way our country works and who the real villains are. Obama could propose a bill (not saying it's possible) that would solve the crises in the middle east, cut health care costs, and reduce taxes and the Republicans would stall it whatever it was. Obama has been in office for barely ten (10) months and has encountered resistance from the "loyal opposition" at every step of the way.

Republicans hate America for what it could be they love it for what they can squeeze out of it.

The poor ignorant Repugs must be dragged kicking and screaming into the 21st century, lose not your heart brave ones as the fight will be long and some victories Pyhrric but we must prevail because EVERYTHING is riding on it.

When I was in high school, it was required that boys wear Levi jeans in order to be cool, rather than JC Penny jeans, which cost about half as much. Girls were no better off, where wearing Channel #5 and every shade in the rainbow other than red or pink for lipstick was the required "cool" norm. In 1965, freshmen high school boys mainly had crew cuts and wore uncomfortable black shoes, while by 1968, most of us had long hair and wore sandals.

Today women deliberately reveal bra straps and other underwear parts they pulled and twisted to cover up not long ago and, both males and females today wear their pants considerably lower than their parents, who in turn wore them lower than their grandparents, who usually didn't wear pants at all in the case of female grandparents.

We often tend to blame corporations and modern advertising for human peer-pressure realities that have existed long before concepts of "corporation" or "advertising" entered human language. Ancient societies, like modern societies, have long had their own unique peer pressure human branding practices.

Ancient warriors often trimmed their beards and their hair in certain proscribed fashion unique to their society and had tattoos and other body markings. Various cultures spread throughout civilization history have had their own unique male and female clothing. Heterosexual men in many cultures have worn clothing that even the most overt homosexual male wouldn't wear in our own society. Tribal cultures have long had peer-pressure earrings, face and body paint markings, feathers and beads. Bowls, drinking vessels, swords and other "necessities" have long contained inlaid gold, jewels and intricate carvings having nothing in common with their actual purpose.

It would seem that as Jesus claimed, human beings by nature are like so many sheep being led to the societal-pressure turned corporation advertising encouraging slaughter.

WHO WOULD JESUS BOMB OR OTHERWISE FORCE TO CONFORM TO PEER PRESSURE?

Pink Floyd 1975
Makes ya wanna puke ah?
We've been screaming about this shit for Decades. Hell even Ike tried to sound the Alarm in 1961. So the Sausage factory was already up and running when he spoke out.
We have become nothing more than cheap disposable labor and Skinnerian trained Consumers. They have damn near reached their goal of making the United States (the country's flag they fly outside their global headquarters, use in their advertising..)into a 3rd world economy. Heckova job boys!
They have succeed in 'Rebranding' the concept of the 'Free Market, bastardized it with the bloodsucking euphemizism, "Capitalism". Capitalizing on others weakness, mishaps and misfortunes is really what it stands for.
Our Founders didn't declare Ours a Free market in regards to abscence of oversight and accountability, The Term 'Free' was in reference to Accessibility.
The grievance with Merry Ol' Englands 'Market' wasn't that it was overregulated, it was too exclusionary. As long as you had a family crest you had a 'free market'- otherwise you were screwed by those very same Crests (logos).
What has been committed against this country is nothing short of Economic Treason in the first Degree- with Forethought and Malice.
They have undermined the very economic class that brought this country out of it's Ag era and back from the last Great depression. Worse they did so with the same legal loopholes they had when they destroyed our nation the last time.Recinding Glass Stegall is Exhibit #1 in these high crimes prosecutions.

Beyond the typical 'Robber Baron' and plantation owner mentality, ther emust be something mentioned about those who have sold out the 'counterculure'. Those who 'Dropped out and Tuned in' dropped back in and tuned out all their lofty ideas for a corner office and a leather high back.
But didn't we see them coming in their Members Only jackets, sockless loafers, Porches and stubble, not to mention that white powder still stuck to what remained of their noses?
Those Boomers who were the draft dodging street ornamnets on Haight/ Ashbury spouting about Free Love and 'do ya got a joint?' Or hiding out on a Deferement?
20 yrs later they are the CEO of some S&L.
20 yrs after that they are teabagging party screaming about 'Socialized medicine' and their Medicare coverage. Hey weren't you all the same assholes who've been trying to Kill those "Entitlement" Progams during the last few decades? Got Your Card and your Check now ah?
Who really pulled a marketing coup? The 'The Love children of the 60's'.
Boomers sit down and shut up. You have succeeded in destroying everything your ancestors built and screwing the next three generations after you. Have no doubt those of US in our 40's would like to hang you by your "Love Beads" right about now!
In fact maybe us post Boomers hould consider finally Defunding Medicare, esp for those newbies. "Sure you right to suffer Baby, you're gonna live a long time" (J Geils)

I love the audacity of these people who write bad books then bring them back for a second edition.

Klein herself became a "brand." I suppose she would never notice the irony.

However, I observed her on Rachel Maddow or some such and she is gaining weight and looking like a Jewish matron. No harm in that of course, of course. I liked her $500 haircut.

These people are hypocrites.

Like Al Gore in his 20,000 acre mansion preaching global warming.
