Shocking Videos of Police Brutality at Yesterday's OWS Demonstrations

When occupiers took the occasion to commemorate the one-year anniversary of the initial Zuccotti Park/Liberty Plaza occupation yesterday, the NYPD responded in kind with a brutal crackdown and scores of arrests, including of journalists.

Friend of AlterNet Michael Gould-Wartofsky was in the streets of New York City yesterday filming footage of protests, which inevitably turned into footage of what certainly appears to be police brutality, overzealous arrests, aggression and misconduct.

The first video appears to be officers "choking and brutalizing" a young man, the second is what looks like a sexual assault or at the very least highly inappropriate handling of a female arrestee, and the third is an unprovoked arrest.

Watch the videos below and tell us what you think.
