Hilarious: Video Shows How Monkey Reacts to Unequal Pay

Just as humans have a developed sense of equality, it seems as if monkeys know when they’re treated equally, too. The Atlantic posted a video today that answers one of life’s most burning questions: what exactly happens when you reward one monkey with a cucumber and the other with a delicious grape?

In the video, Alex Tabarrok shows the results of Emory University psychologist Dr. Frans B.M. de Waal’s fairness study. Waal put capuchin monkeys side by side in a test chamber and gave them both cucumbers in exchange for handing the research assistant a rock.
