A piece by Lee Davidson in the Salt Lake City Tribune on Ted Cruz's Utah rallies reveals some interesting comments from Mormon right-wing talk-show host Glenn Beck. According to Davidson:

Beck said that he, like many Mormons, believe in a prophecy that the Constitution will hang by a thread in the last days. He said he believes that now is that time, and people like Lee and Cruz will save it.

The article points out that Cruz alluded to the fact that he would potentially nominate his friend, Utah Senator Mike Lee, to the Supreme Court if elected president. “I don’t have any friends in Washington except these two,” Beck said of Cruz and Lee. Beck also pointed out that they are the first politicians he had ever endorsed.

After John Kasich won his home state of Ohio and vowed to stay in the race last week, Beck told his listeners, "Kasich, I mean, excuse my language, but, you son of a bitch, the republic is at stake. This is not like a normal race. The republic is at stake."
