Mitt Romney Versus Hurricane Sandy: the Most Brutal Campaign Ad of the Season

Neither major party candidate has talked much about climate change, despite the fact that it represents a far greater threat than terrorism. Only the Green Party candidate, Jill Stein, has made the pressing problem a top issue in the campaign. This has been true despite the fact that the United States has been hit with a series of extreme weather events during the election season.

But only one candidate, Mitt Romney, went so far as to joke about -- to dismiss it entirely. The view that climate change is a "hoax" is only a majority view in one of our two major parties.

That joke has now been made into what David Roberts of  Grist calls "the most brutal ad you'll see this season." Watch it below:
