Watch: Go on an Acid Trip Without Having to Take LSD

An intense LSD experience is no easy thing to replicate, but some guy named Mike has given it a pretty good shot with video below.

Mike makes videos under the moniker AVI LSD and has his own YouTube channel, where he describes himself as a "COKED OUT ELECTRIC HIPPIE! Entrepreneur, Visionary, Vlogger." He's got lots of other drug-related videos there.

The video below is a visual representation of the sensory distortions that occur under the influence of the powerful psychedelic, accompanied by a pretty trippy soundtrack that evokes the experience. The swelling sound at the beginning of the field of grass—at least I think it's a field of grass—is an especially flashback-inducing moment.

Of course, a video can't replicate a psychedelic inner state—just how freaking weird you feel—but this one gives it the old college try and succeeds quite well. If you have tripped before, you can judge for yourself. If you haven't, here's just a hint of what it can be like.
