Additional Advice on Greeting an Officer at Your House

In the second to last scene, as the host noted, when the lady opened the door to greet the officers outside if the officers believe or even just say they smelled illegal substances when the door was open they can go inside and search.

A better option than opening the door and greeting outside is to talk through the closed door or closed side window if at all possible.

That way the officer has an even lesser chance to smell any illegal substances and would have an even flimsier case in court if the officer states they smelled such substances inside (ie through a closed door).

In the illustrious words of Jay of Jay and Silent Bob:
Fuck the police, fuck fuck, fuck the police, yo yo, fuck the police, fuck fuck, fuck the police yo fuck 'em.
