Cubs name Renteria manager

Renteria agreed to terms on a three-year contract with club options in 2017 and 2018. He becomes the Cubs' third manager since Lou Piniella retired late in the 2010 season, following brief stints by Mike Quade and Dale Sveum. Renteria, 51, spent the past six seasons as a member of the San Diego Padres' coaching staff.
