I read proposal #2 (2004), I understood what it meant and I voted as such.

Students of Sociology KNOW Surveys are BS!

As asoc Major at WMU I proved 'the number of hours spent studying had NOTHING to do with Grade Point'. I intentional rigged the survey to support my hypothesis- I got an A+ because in my conclusion I expalined how I did it. I choose the wording of my questions to 'push' the responder to answer the way I wanted them to. I intentioanlly choose to stand in the commons between Building which housed Social Sciences and Not 'Hard' sciences. teh Social sciences are more geared towards Theory & philosophy thus always a choice for those who already love and partake in Mental Gymanstics. Those in the 'hard 'Sciences (Math, Physic)must not only learn theory but the methods of Proving it - they must learn and retain Factual information. social Science motto - 'Can't Dazzle 'em with Brilliance, Baffle 'em with BS'!There are basic theories (Conflict, Functional) which take about a Semester to learn- after that it is all about who many ways you can 'skin the cat' using these Basic Tools. So Studying is just a matter of picking a sociolgical situation an dwhich & how you apply the basic Theories, 'Studying' is very different depending on your Cirriculum.
So 'Surveys ' and 'Polls' always make me wonder what was it they were TRYING to PROVE!
Add to that the Rigging being Pulled in MY Great State of MI (Dem Primary was Intentionally Rigged to be a 'Win' for Hillary) I laugh & cry when such claims about how Michiganders actually think. Most the people I know don't give a shit about Gay marriage- we have just been used as Pawns in the Neo Con game ( they never even bothered to really count our Votes- Just like the BS Primary- Hillary did not take this state by 55% that's just the number they used to hand it to her for Future Use (Ace in her Pocket).Obama & Edwards were not allowed to actually run in this state becasue Either would have kicked her Ass!Demographics & Union blood coursing through our veins, she'd have Lost it BAD with out the Fraud being Used!

"JESUS" SAID -

Jesus said "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you"! I guess this is a "new" interpretation by the "good" Christians in this State of the Union! Why didn't they also pass a law that says every homosexual persons can stop paying taxes if they want to take away "marriage rights"! Why are "Christians" allowed to marry, divorce, marry again and again and again when the Bible tells them NO!
I would like to hear from those people (children) of divorced straight parents and what they think about the subject. I'd bet they prefer that their parents had stayed married and worked it out.

Gays as "Useful Idiots"

I cannot for the life of me understand why the evangelicals (and all other religious right wingnuts) want to prevent the establishment of equality under the law for the sexual minorities. It would seem to me that the Rapture would be hastened along by such rampant perversion in our midst. Surely they can find a homo, dyke, drag queen, transsexual, and bisexual somewhere in the Book of Revelations.

Curiously, the only more homophobic religion is Islam. Christers are bound by their phony "Hate the sin, love the sinner" bigotry, but Muslims, like the Mafia, don't mess around: they chop off heads. Maybe Hagee, Parsley, Sagebrush, and Thyme should try advocating that. The thought has crossed their (subconscious?) minds.

It seems lots of us are preoccupied with piddling nonsense such as gay marriage while really important issues such as the bush crime family and its threat to us and the rest of the world gets pushed to a back burner. Let's get real, folks. Live and let live.
