Gay-friendly allies aren't enough. Robinson urges gay people who've left their church, synagogue or mosque to return, come out and walk into the storm:

Do you mean the Southern Baptist, fundamentalist Christian and the Mormon Church? I would not bother expending the energy...These churches need to channel rage about everything that has gone wrong their congregations heterosexual world on gays....

Here is an example of what happenned to gay Mormons who tried to "change" their churches policies on accepting gays/lesbians:

Gays need to get the hell out of any church that engages in selective "cafeteria" approach to literally interpreting scriptures to attack them (while giving adulterous/divorcing straights a free pass on condemnation)....Life is too short to waste time in dealing with people who believe this way.
