What We Might Hear If We Injected Spitzer (AKA Client #9) with Truth Serum

By Susie Bright, SusieBright.com. Posted March 12, 2008.

Spitzer's apology -- and his moral "beliefs" -- are full of it.

Governor Eliot Spitzer of New York, who became famous prosecuting Wall Street crooks, has been caught on a federal wiretap, making arrangements with a high-priced prostitute.

The pro, named Kristen, called her booker after her session with Eliot to confirm that all had gone well. She said she didn't find Spitzer "difficult," as some of the other girls had complained.

The booker replied to her that "Client 9," as Eliot was called, was known to ask the women "to do things that, like, you might not think were safe."

Aside from the kinky slap to his Mr. Clean reputation, Spitzer is also facing legal jeopardy, since, among other things, the feds are hitting him with the Mann Act, a 1910 prostitution law designed to crack down on interstate "white slavery."

Everyone would like to know how Spitzer got the money to pay an escort $4K an hour, and what government resources he might have used to meet with her, in secret. Bizarrely, Eliot used the name of one of his big donors, "George Fox," to book his rendezvous.

Yesterday, Spitzer and his wife appeared for one shaky minute before the press, where Spitzer said he was sorry, and that he had let down his family and his moral beliefs.

How unfortunate that this bust doesn't serve as a wakeup call to Eliot to realize his moral "beliefs" are full of it.

Only a few years ago, in 2004, Spitzer spoke "with revulsion" after announcing his arrest of eighteen people who ran an escort business out of Staten Island.

"This was a sophisticated and lucrative operation with a multi-tiered management structure," Mr. Spitzer sputtered at the time. "It was, however, nothing more than a prostitution ring."

And now, his critics and many of his supporters are asking for nothing less than his resignation.

Okay.

If we could give a truth serum to all the parties involved -- or wiretap their personal diaries -- here's what we might listen in on:

The $4,300 an Hour Prostitute:

Well, first of all, I got less than half of that, and my manicurist charges almost as much.

The Wife:

There's not a political wife alive who's been schtupped by her own husband in years. If you want a career as a high profile spouse, you can kiss your sex life goodbye.

The John/Governor:

Those sons of bitches. I know who did this, and I'll destroy them if it's the last thing I do.

The Escort Service Booker:

There's a couple dozen high end joints like us operating at any time to service the Pol crowd, and we just can't charge enough. Once they start ratting out each other, they'll mess us over so bad there'll be forty people filing bankruptcy as a result of their bullshit.

The Wall Street, Insiders?? Who paid to have this Political Prosecution, of a guy who fought to protect 'we the people' from their greed and fraud!

It was his money, he is Independently wealthy!

If he did this, So What! She wasn't 'sold into slavery', or under age! She was a willing, consenting adult!

Regulate, Tax, (STD testing, accurate records for health follow-ups), and Legalize It!! Let's get real, your not going to end prostitution, so legalize it!!

When I heard that all the firms on Wall Street were stopping work early to rejoice, I knew that their were piranha swimming in the bigger pond at the Governor's Mansion.

Somehow, I have a feeling that they didn't swim of the Amazon and slip into the ponds by themselves. I think some Wall Street "Sharks" and others who help others "swim with the fishes" that Spitzer had dealings with in the past a prosecutor helped "stock" his pond.

Personally, my father stepped out on my mother and I never held it against him, circustances being what they were. It may be similar in the Spitzer household. Not one of us knows, or should judge what goes on behind another families closed doors.

It is interesting how THIS story of a hypocritical sex-freak politician is getting so much press everywhere. It even outdid the bombing of Pakistan's equivalent to the FBI's HQ for top story on CNN.com for two days straight. Morning shows on Faux were reporting it yesterday morning... and again today.

"Everyone would also like to know how Spitzer got the money to pay an escort $3K an hour"

No, what I am wondering is exactly what any woman can do to rate 3K an hour. Yes, I'm sure some of it was super kinky. Been there, done that, never had to pay for it.

Just who are Clients 1 through 8 and also Client #10? If the FBI was listening in, they should tell us, so we can see if any Republican a--holes were involved, too. I think it is sad that men have only 1 brain cell and it transfers from their head to their lap.

1-8 and 10 COULD include (gasp) those who work in DC, priests, rabbi, top cops, IRS, CIA, FBI, NSA....who says there are only ten clients? Hey, for four grand an hour you can bring your own dog, or cat, or child for right of passage, or secretary, or waiter, sort of like great chutzpa! Some of our heros may have even brought their wives along for a little variety. The profit of the pimps was $20,000,000 so devide that by 1-4 grand a 'pop' and you get an idea of 'expenses' vs 'profit'. Passports are now $100 per. Plane tickets are $8500 round trip first class....and the Testosterone level of our mid-east bankers is as virulent as camel pee.

I'm not sure what the precise point of the article is. I'm not sure why Spitzer had to resign. Once again, the media, liberal, conservative, red, blue, large and small are busy telling me what I thought, what I think, and what I am supposed to think. Funny thing is, I don't remember being asked.

I sure wanna know what goes on for $1000-$5000. Either the rich boyz are getting ripped off or that's some seriously great shit.

Oh well, back to the line for the homeless shelter... thanks Countrywide and B of A.

We are being bombarded constantly by details of the Spitzer "scandal". Leaving others to decide whether his behavior was legal or illegal, moral or immoral, I would just like to point out that the uproar from the media about his "crime", which has hurt primarily his family, should instead be directed against this administration whose behavior has resulted in the watering down of our Constitution, has killed and maimed thousands of American soldiers as well as innocent Iraqi citizens. This outrage and calls for impeachment or resignation are being misplaced. Which is the real crime?

To those who wonder how the lame duck Govenor paid for it, and whether any taxpayers dollars are involved, I think it's best to put it into perspective. Whatever the cost may be, even if it has been entirely funded with taxpayer dollars, it's still a pittance when weighed against the daily cost of the war in Iraq. As with Bill Clinton's infidelities: which is the more important lie? Why isn't the press as interested in the upcoming Pentagon study which concludes that Saddam Hussien had no connection whatsoever with Al Quida?

I dunno about you, but I'd much rather see my tax dollars go towards two people having sex than for indiscriminate murder.

It's sad that a sex act can bring a Govenor down, while an illegal and unjust war, costing hundreds of thousands of lives and trillions of taxpayer dollars, earns it's champion reelection. The former is none of my business, while the latter is everybody's.

And that Suzie B, and everyone else here, seem not to have noticed this double standard?

SPITZER DOWNFALL- NOTHING NEW

The downfall of New York Governor Eliot Spitzer is nothing new.

Powerlusting politicians also lust after sex.It's the same psychodynamic drive for power added to- or fueled by- a testosterone dominated physiology that has toppled the mighty since antiquity?

Some say we should just accept that as the reality of the powerful? I hope not though.

It may be "human" but it is not moral or ethical. Hopefully we are still evolving?

America is distracted again. The only moral issue is what the media does to its consumers. One million fucking dead in Iraq and we are supposed to give a damn about some plutocrat's pee-pee.
Sadly, it's so easy.

I cannot believe he retired. Here is the crux of the case and the outcome. He will cooperate and that will be the end of it.

What a shame! Someone at the Justice Department and the FBI need to retire. the law needs to be repealed. The general public is soooooooooooooooooo numb. The banks call the government when you take out unusual withdrawels. So everytime you have an emergency, according to the law, the FBI has a right to investigate your finances. That is the point of the story, in my opinion.

He is a slime ball politician, like all the other slime ball politicians and rich assholes who control the world economy and their minions. If you want to screw a high priced hooker, say so and don't prosecute them. Don't lie to your wife and children, step up, be a man and tell them you are going to screw hookers. Otherwise, stop faking. That's freedom? They prosecute each other to put on the play, "We Are Protecting You". Meanwhile, back in the jungle, we call for Barabbas or Jesus (both revolutionaries), depending on the political agenda the corporate media and their owners want promoted, to hang.

Here is how I know we really do not want change in this company, oh I mean country. We will again elect a congress and president. state houses and governors, and appoint judges, who are more then ready to put on enough of an act, to keep the power centralized and serve the corporations and the media (slaves) they own.

8% of us are patriots.

Instead, I was amused the entire time.

Funny. Thanks for the laugh.

All the protestations about prostitution aren't going to do crap to make it stop. I bet you could start calling escorts in NYC at 6 a.m. and keep it up till midnight and never call the same lady twice.(30 seconds a call)

I'm getting to the point where I'm starting to believe that men in public office should be required to prove that they are sexually functional with their wife and at least 2 other people just to hold office.

The prudes in office kill, rape, maim and imprison far more women by their laws and policies than the libertines ever screw directly. How many women were blown up in Iraq in the last month?

The FBI went after Spitzer for political reasons. If they were busting escorts or money laundering in NYC they'd have no time for anything else and they'd never catch up.

Criminalizing VICE & loss of PRIVACY UNDERMINES POPULIST REFORM & Representative Gov't

Vice: Think about it...

The Thieves of Virtue: legislating morality undermines representative government.

really, VICE is contextual:
* gender
* ethnicity
* age
* race...

all pay a part in morals. but VICE, should never be *criminalized*, especially in a nation where PRIVACY has been abolished.

Who is PERFECT ENOUGH to represent THE PEOPLE or a populist reform when there is neither privacy nor the Will to preserve privacy in society?
Who stands *for the People* when Money & Power exert corrosive controls to extend their oppression & corruption?

You've been *had*

Nobody is immune to *vice* as VICE is about how ONE PERSON privately & personally determines *how to enjoy their own body*... Naked Truth: Civil Rights & CNN coverage of "F.B.I. biometric database - 'Server in the Sky'"
...& THAT is how THE MORAL MAJORITY ensured Money & Power will kill representative government for The Peoples who seek JUSTICE, Freedom & Human Rights.
