Gays are the sacrifical lamb that must be offered...

...unto the naive, angry middle and lower class voters to keep them distracted from the oligarchy power grab that is taking place. It is impossible for the GOP to win elections purely upon tax cuts to the wealthiest Americans...there aren't enough wealthy voters to carry them through elections.

Politics/power trumps rationality and fairness in the GOP....don't expect any changes on gay issues.

The Immigration Bill that just failed will rise again, it has roused a number of nativist, nationalist and thinly-veiled racist voices. Watch for 'talking points' and dragging of the issues to the right. Rove and Co. are no slackers as we approach election year. It would be a mistake to think the hard-core Right is anywhere close to being gone.

I don't give a damn what hole you stick it in to. If you're a citizen of this country you have equal protection under the law and equal rights. Discrimination against gays because you want to pick and choose what parts of the bible you want to adhere to is immoral and unethical. It would be just as immoral and unethical to decide that Protestants can't marry because they don't believe in the 'one true church'

The GOP has grown so good at lying and confusing the issue that they can say they are against Gay marriage today and then say that their campaign AGAINST gays really shows how much they actually SUPPORT gay unions. And the lop-headed, ignorami who blindly support the Republican Party will believe anything they say.

Am I the only one that sees this comming? The corporate media is still in charge. People will try to get their information form all the sources, where the corporate media dominate. We will be running a black man, a woman, or a worm against a strong valued, white man. There will be a twinge of uncertanty about blacks, and females. The corporate media will exploit the publics doubts, and make everyone want what's familiar, the white man.
