Bush crony Stephen Payne was caught on tape offering access to Dick Cheney and Condoleeza Rice in exchange for donations to the George W. Bush Presidential Library.

True to the president's legacy, the Bush Library will be a $500 million partisan institute housed by Southern Methodist University and administered with tax dollars, but accountable only to the library foundation.

The library is to be the Mother of All Think Tanks. It will reward the truly loyal Bushies with cushy jobs burnishing the legacy of George W. Bush.

Readers will not be shocked to learn that the project is being spearheaded by none other than Karl Rove.

Last I heard this "Library" was up for review by the Methodist Church. SMU had basically green-lighted this project but then the Divinity School at SMU lodged loud protests. They argued that the likely-criminal acts of the Bush administration might lower the image of the Methodist Church...and they're right of course. The Methodist Church is/was(?) supposed to meet on this topic sometime over the summer but I have not heard news on the outcome. I think it's very important for this "Library" to never be built. War criminals do not deserve libraries, and to create a library for Bush is an attempt to legitimize the oil-stealing, CIA-employee-outing, child-torturing, Iraqi-girl-raping, and blacksite-waterboarding administration that put the US in 1 trillion dollars in debt for an unnecessary war.
