This posting is specifically for the tiny minority of our readers who are American (or British). What you are looking at are just some of the reasons why we hate you. What you are looking at are just some of the reasons why for as long as their are Americans in our country our country will never be at peace.

Irak is for the Irakis. This is my home not yours and you're completely and utterly unwelcome here.

Steven Green and Uday Hussein both committed the same crime, so why is the media's treatment of them so different?

Never Had a Reason to Be There

America NEVER had any reason to be in Iraq from the get-go. It's only inflicting deeper wounds in a now severely damaged country. America needs to STOP meddling and focus on its own problems and issues. And any "help" America appears to offer seems to be riddled with accounts of torture, rape, abuse, and completely disgraceful and terrible behavior. It's sickening. So many people used to view America as a symbol of freedom; although it may symbolize freedom, its actions in Iraq (and elsewhere) reek of oppression.

I'm an American and I don't hate you. In fact, I feel utterly horrible about what my country has done to Iraq. Utterly horrible. I never ever wanted us to be there in the first place and I want us out of there as much as you do.

I fully understand your anger. But, I do want you to know, that there are those of us here in America, a lot more than you think, that feel the same way I do. Many of us have yelled and screamed at our gov't to leave Iraq alone and they simply will not listen!

I'm sorry for what we have done to Iraq. Truly.

Iraq never asked us to invade their country. Our government went there to steal their oil and overthrow their government.
The entire Bush/Cheney administration must be brought to justice for their crimes.

i dont get the reason why americans are still there, i think it's just because they really can't stand losing anything. it doesn't only involve destroying american families who send their sons to fight in a war without cause, but also invading a country which is not in the same conditions as them, a country of innocent people that now have to pray for their kids or parents not to be murdered. just think about it, doesn't the usa governmenth ave already too much? and done too much too? it's been enough now. i wish they would just stop bothering other countries or at least have the decency of dealing with the ones that are at their level. they are just fucking it up more and more, and gaining absolutely nothing. just hope this gets better soon.

17 July Conyers announced hearings on the bush Imperial Presidency. 25 July @ 10:00am at the Rayburn where the House Judiciary's Chambers are, they will be holding a hearing on the "Imperial Presidency of George W. Bush" and the possible legal responses.
No "I" word but, 1.improper politicization of the DoJ and AG's offices, on and on, 2.misuse of the F$$KING executive branch authority and the adoption and implementation of the so-called unitary executive theory, as in presidential a GAZILLION signing statements and regulatory authority, 3. misuse of investigatory and detention authority with regard to US citizens and foreign nationals, inc. questions regarding the legality of the administrations surveillance, detention, interrogation and rendition programs, 4.manipulation of intelligence and misuse of war powers, including possible misrepresentations to Congress related thereto, 5.improper retaliation against administration critics, including outing valerie plame, 6. misuse of authority in denying Congress and the American people the ability to oversee and scrutinize conduct within the administration, including through the various assorted priveleges and immunities.

We, Veterans for Peace and probably IVAW will be lobbying on the 24th, then outside the Rayburn at 9 am, then at 10 am in Room 2141 of the Rayburn Building, on the 25th, the House Judiciary will hold prelim hearings on topic of Impeachment with a presentation by Dennis Kucinich. Sit in and such, no need to get arrested stay in the safe zone. Much posters, Tees and such.
Albeit I'll be the 1st to say I know they are gonna screw us yet again but I'll be there. Call your Rep.'s especially if on Judiciary, call Pelosi, Conyers and the entire Judiciary, call Barbara Lee, Lynn Woolsey, Sheila Jackson-Lee and Maxine Waters they are our best allys. Issa, Trent Franks and King of the Judiciary suck badly, especially ISSA!

Those are the switchboard so you'll have to ask for who you need.
Thanks Peace
