As we reported earlier this week, Blackwater and its founder Erik Prince are under fire yet again, this time for allegedly indulging in performance enhancing steroids while on the job. Lawyer Michael Ratner has sued the company on behalf of survivors and family members of victims of a brutal, unprovoked attack by Blackwater in Iraq which claimed 17 lives.
The suit accuses the company of fostering "a culture of lawlessness" among its guards and says the use of excessive force helps the company preserve a key selling point -- the fact that none of its protectees have been killed during the four-year-old war. Olbermann and Ratner elaborate on this further. They discuss how Blackwater's "willingness to kill innocent people" has been interpreted as a "strategic advantage" for the company.
