Today, Iraq vet Nick Morgan will undergo surgery at the Veterans Administration hospital in Philadelphia to help repair the bones in his face which were broken when a police horse trampled him at a protest outside last week's presidential debate.

I-Witness Video cameraperson Emily Forman documented the scene as out-of-control Nassau County police officers on horses charged a small group of Iraq Veterans Against the War and other demonstrators as they stood on the sidewalk near the gates of Hofstra University, the venue for the debate. Forman's video captures the exact moment that a police horse stepped on former Army Sergeant Morgan's face. After a frame-by-frame analysis of the video, she was also able to identify the mounted police officer responsible for injuring Morgan and others.
