The U.S. financial system faces a grave crisis as investment giants teeter on the edge of collapse. They're led by people -- people who've made some rotten decisions in recent years and hauled in millions of dollars as their firms crumbled.

instead of a bagman, we'd see many civil & criminal class actions suits being moved on in domestic and overseas courts to attach the personal assets of 'captains' of industry.

Unless courts/shareholders inflict pain and take back from corporate management, this debased sh-t will continue.

No wonder most of these people are big campaign contributors. Someone I know looked at his conservatively invested 401K yesterday and almost passed out. The "best" fund had dropped only 14 percent.

They are the new Gods. If you are beyond consequences for your actions, you are, in effect, infallible. That is one definition of a God.

They will seek and immediately find other gods. They worship. It's what they do. In a free market system there is never a shortage of false prophets or a low demand for them.

Please these are NOT 'Shortsightedness' this is Treason with foresight and Malice!
Foreclose on their homes, seize all their assets, Convict them of High crimes and Punish them by sending their asses to the Countries they received Loans from, so they can convict them of Embezzlement, Forgery (We never Co signed those Loans),Basically screwing their countries out of Billions/Trillions.
Considering the Ameircan Citizens are expected to repay these losses and debts, with OUR 'pound of Flesh' and OUR Childrens...It is not cruel nor unsusal to sentence those 'CEO's' to the Same!

we're at it. Public stocks where shame could make a comeback - there seems to none in the boardrooms of the corporatists. I'd like to throw a few rotten veggies at these bastards.

Wall St. is taking the fall for the entire country and rightfully so. But it's only fair to include EVERY company that in the last 20 yrs. has moved its operation (mostly manufacturing) overseas. Textile mills, auto makers, furniture, most recently beer. They all made a contribution to the collapse of our economy. They are all evading taxes and going after low wages. It was never cheap to be an American, why would corporations be exempt from making their contribution? As for the rich guys on Wall. St., well they created their own little society of entitled, over paid, answer to no one SOB's and people bought into it and aspired to one of them. The first thing they do when they get hired is to get the money in place and protect it. These outrageous bonuses paid out AFTER they screw up are part of their conract when they get hired and they are legally entitled to them. They are no longer inspired to run a company in he best interest of the public. Because there are equally great rewards when they screw up. Even the stock holders are not the consideration they once were. Executives are seldom long time employees who came up throught the ranks. They're almost a form of temporary employment. It wasn't always like that. The same people can't understand the current lack of employee loyalty. Everyman for himself no longer applies just in an emergency situation, it's everyday life. As we can see, it's not working. We need a more "made in the USA" and fewer lapel flag pins that are made in China. Believe it or not, this is not just about money. People need something to believe in and that has been taken away from us. Thanks, ANNA
