Most working families today do not have homes that have anywhere near 10 rooms. John McCain has 10 houses. Many working people in America have to work two and three jobs to provide for their families and pay their car loans. John McCain hops on a private jet. Is it any wonder why McCain champions a George Bush agenda of cutting taxes for corporations and the wealthy, helping oil companies turn record profits, and leaving working families to fend for themselves? McCain's velvet world leaves him utterly unprepared to make the tough choices we need to restore the middle class and ensure that everyone in America has quality, affordable health insurance.
-Andy Stern, President, Service Employees International Union (SEIU)
John McCain is soaring to new heights of hypocrisy on his wife's personal jet. He flies around the country bent on duping the public into believing he's "one of them," a regular guy who can empathize with Americans facing an overwhelming economic crush. What's more, he disparages those who oppose his ridiculous policy proposals as "elitist." But who's the real elitist?
The REAL McCain is a multimillionaire who owns ten luxurious homes. The REAL McCain backs President Bush's tax cuts for big corporations. The REAL McCain empathizes only with the interests of our nation's wealthy minority, not its money-strapped majority. But far too many are buying into McCain's deceit because the corporate press won't present the whole picture, so we created this video to educate the public about the REAL McCain.

Together, you have been a force in making sure The REAL McCain videos have been seen by nearly 6.5 million people. But as Frank Rich noted in his NY Times column yesterday, 40% of Americans hear too little about McCain from the mainstream media, meaning "the public doesn't know who on earth John McCain is." That's why it's crucial you ensure this video is seen by as many as possible, and that we use each and every tool at our disposal to get the word out. Send this on to five friends and family members, and tell them to send it to five people they know. Get it to your local news outlets and blogs and networking sites like Digg. Raise hell about McCain's economic duplicity!

AFL-CIO President John Sweeney summed it up best when he said McCain "simply doesn't understand the challenges America's working families are facing because he isn't remotely affected by them." It's up to us to tell people who McCain really is, a jet-setting elitist more concerned with corporate lobbyists than hard-working Americans.

Are these properties and other luxury items owned jointly, or by Mrs. McCain only and backed by an iron clad pre-nuptial agreement? Maybe John Boy gets his monthly Social Securuty check along with his $58M per year military disabilty pay and relies on the generosity of his wife. That doesn't make him poor but over his lifetime he's never done anything that would have put him in a high income group. Just a thought. Thanks, ANNA

I have 2 pickup trucks, a Jaguar convertible, 3 boats, a house and a bunch of other stuff.
I have some neighbors who live like trailer trash.
Does this make me greedy?
I worked and earned the $$ for these things.
I have a small, sole proprietorship business.
If my business was a corp and I owned all these things, I'd get called names.

Let's stick to the REAL issues like getting the murdering in Iraq and elsewhere stopped.
Remember the ignorant whining about Heinz Ketchup when Kerry was running?

ZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

I hate the way this word is thrown around as a pejorative. However, if it can be applied to Obama, it can be applied to McCain -- and far more appropriately in a pejorative sense. McCain lives in the reality of wealth. His world is somewhere in the top 1 to 5 percent of the wealth in this country (I'm guessing). He has no concept of the struggle of the middle and lower income, because he never has had to worry about making his mortgage payment or timing his credit card payments to hit the bank the day after the payroll check. Or worse, deciding to pay the insurance bill or the car payment. He's a person who can't understand because he's never been poor. He's in an elite class -- by definition, only the very wealthiest can possibly belong. McCain is not "everyman", never will be. At least Obama grew up amongst the working class. He experienced the struggle of a single-parent family. He experienced having to earn scholarships in order to afford a private school education. I think that Obama can relate much more to the average American, and what that life is like -- sans private jets, and the 10-house real estate empire.

Socialism Schmoscialism

Well, we have arrived! In order to take care of the mess that mismanagement of $$ has caused, we are on a Mag Lev train ride into Socialism. This Administration has literally, along with the help of the OPEC Cartel, forced us into a Socialistic funnel. How else do you care for so many displaced families? As the full impact of our failed housing and credit crash becomes apparent, people will literally be moving in with family and friends in order to merely survive! Then communities and faith based orginazations will organize to help in distributing food. Government assistance will be jammed! As financial markets crash and panic ensues, chaos and violence will once again rear it's ugly head in our inner cities.

I am ashamed of you who are sworn to uphold the Constitution, and to use your experience and forsight to steer this country into the future, yet, on your watch, too many of you have allowed the "Cheney/Bush Wrecking crew, to destroy not only this country, but it's laws and standing in the world community. We as a Nation, need a future that is optimistic and full of hope. A future for generations to come, not a future of extinction. From my perch, I see McCain as another puppet in the Bush lineage!

Oh yeah, now the important issue! McCains properties. Well, all I have to say about that is "good for him!" I just shudder to think of this man as our Commander & Chief. McCain scares me witless!
