Nelson Mandela celebrated his 90th birthday last Friday. To mark the occasion, we celebrated the South African leader's life and legacy with two people who have known him and his country well -- Time Magazine's Rick Stengel who helped Mandela with his autobiography and Chief Justice Margaret Marshall of the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court who originally hails from South Africa. We also looked back to some of our interviews with prominent South African leaders including Mandela himself.

the United States of America bringing up the rear.

Why is James Dobson and his version of god now rallying around John McCain if not for what the South African sister heard her fellow White South Africans say about Black people? Does Dr. Dobson's high moral code of ethics and marital fidelity, integrity etc. mean beans anymore. They ain't as sacrid to these theocrats as Whiteness. John McCain is White. He ain't got to be all that conservative. Matter of fact if not for the same nonsensical opinions about non-White human beings is anyone supporting John McCain?

After we all agree that it is CLASS, CLASS, CLASS, and party politics, Wigs and Tories right? Right. Now let us look closely at the irrationality of what is falling from the mouths of the media and bloggers and so called conservative Christians regarding McCain or Obama. Clearly inferior v superior. No doubt. There is no cover. So Why John McCain?

I submit it is not economic concerns because most of the dumbed down in America will never come close to KBR's no bid fortunes or Wall Street's bloody bounty. These poor souls who value those who derive their income from capital(Cheney/Bush/McCain)more than those whose income comes from labor(themselves)don't know dialectical materialism from diarrhea, but they know that Barack Obama is a socialist Muslim and not qualified to be commander in chief because he was not shot down over Vietnam and sat out the war in prison. Barack has been the president of something and John McCain has been the president of nothing but McCain is more qualified to be pres. of the USA., and at the height of one of his irrational episodes John McCain has been known to blurt out "I know how to win Wars, and I put my country first." ??? And "values voters" and racist dems and "progressives" say Amen. Ya got my vote.

What is this? It is refined ignorance fueled by White racism and driven by some aspect and leaders of every american construct. Til now it has been a subliminal convenience for a few and the epitome of hell for many. And no one dare identify it and call it what it really is. Mandela and South Africa have shown us that the difficult is not impossible. Yes there will be much mess to remove.

John McCain for president???

Our present litany of political scandals, economic ruin, and standing in the global community demand fundamental and systemic CHANGE.

This my friends is the shameful and stupid spector and toilet bowl of American White Racism. The Church, the school and the homes that produced those who have seduced and deceived and brought us to the brink of damnation must be found guilty and stand down. Denial? Too expensive. John McCain? after 8 tortuous years of Cheney and George Bush?????
Instead of Obama????????

This my friends is the shameful and stupid spector and toilet bowl full of American White Racism. We are not the greatest or number one in many critical areas. And every time I hear "FIRST Black.." I'm reminded all over again of the WHITE quota system. White racist conservative ideology has always believed in quotas. Absent divine intervention or serious hell raising whatever White men deem off limits for non White men the quota is Zero. None. Not a damn one. Be it quarterback on the football team or president of the USA. That's what White Affirmative Action looks like my friends. It is our collective duty in 2008 to flush the toilet, and then create a perpetual environment for more female and male, Mandelas and Obamas of all ethnicities from every nation on planet earth. Tell Dobson and others the truth. Give peace a chance.

Grab the lever and flush the toilet.

Now if Charlie Rose would just honor the Palestinians who have been fighting Israeli apartheid for fifty years there would be some reason to celebrate. He is so pro-Israel I stopped watching him years ago. He frequently denigrates Palestinian supporters who appear on his show.
Some prominent survivors of African apartheid recently visited Palestine and reported that what they saw there was much worse than what they had experienced in Africa. I wonder if Rose will consider this bit of news
and do a little more investigative reporting in the future.
