Wind is a great idea!

Hopefully, he will also promote research money into energy STORAGE, because the one problem with wind is that it is not constant.

I wonder who he has in mind- if anyone- for "the right leadership"? I know he made that offer for $1million to disprove the John Kerry "Swift Boat" ads, but then seemed to backpedal on the deal. McCain or Obama? Either will probably be better than Bush.

Republican Hot Air!!

About this time yesterday, Representative Randy Neugebauer of the 19th district of Texas was making a fool of himself on the floor of the House, during an energy debate and made the following comment, "There is more WIND power in MY DISTRICT than in the whole STATE of California!"
The thought struck me that he was SO right. There is so much "Wind Power" coming from all that Hot Air spewing from the Republican side in Congress, with the help of the Rabid Blue Pit Bulls on the Democratic side, that if you could figure out a way to HARNESS all that, you could power the entire COUNTRY forever FOR FREE.

The article highlight wind power, and then he wants you to sign up at the end, but in the middle it looks like we would also be signing up for natural gas.
Careful.

He should harness Bill O'Reilly, Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Ann Coulter, Don Imus, Laura Ingraham, Savage, Michelle Malkin,Melanie Morgan,Bill Bennett (somehow those last two always fit together in my mind),and all the other Foxified blowhards as a wind source. Their bloviations ought to keep us going for the foreseeable future.

Of course, we'd have to do something about the smell from all those "fartboxes", but I'm sure we can find a way to deal with it.

Pickens is Shameless Self-Promoter

Pickens is a shameless self promoter who does not care about the regular guy. His new wind project came about b/c he was using so much electricity on his ranch that the electric company put him on a Fair Use Access Policy. He wastes more electricity and energy than anyone can imagine. If he was sincere then start by being a personal example and stop wasting energy recreating his personal utopia on his ranch north of Pampa, Texas. Ask the locals who know him what they think, and you will understand my comments. He is shameless and is only concerned about himself.

He caused Amarillo and West Texas A&M great financial harm. He is full of BS, and this is just another example of him exploiting a crisis for personal gain. His speculation in the oil futures has helped create the problem. This new idea is just another financial opportunity.
