As Media Matters noted, FOX's E.D. Hill teased last Friday's edition of America's Pulse by saying: "A fist bump? A pound? A terrorist fist jab? The gesture everyone seems to interpret differently."

Hill was referring to the fist pound (or dap) that Obama exchanged with wife Michelle last Tuesday night upon clinching the Democratic nomination. She then brings in a "body language expert" to further explain Obama's hand gesture (for those of us who are so out of touch that we don't understand what a fist bump means). NEVER again does Hill bring up the "terrorist" allusion during the segment, which suggests that FOX was merely comparing Obama to a terrorist in an utterly disgraceful ploy to boost ratings and spread slander.

Now that Obama has fist-bumped his way into the national spotlight, we can clearly expect FOX to continue smearing him throughout this election and beyond. Rest assured, however, that we will continue to expose their lies with our FOX Attacks series.

Digg!

What an idiotic story! It's the ever publicly sanctioned & the preferred method to a hand shake (just ask most public & privatized institutions in Indiana) THE KNUCKLE KNOCK morons! Like they don't KNOW what that is! Right. It's not some secret Obama & Michele thing, or liberal thing, or scarey thing! State & local officials around here (the good old zenophobic, conservative mid-west) are the ones who basically embraced the knuckle-knock as a way to greet each other without having to ...ooooo!....touch each other for too long...! And they are the ones who are going to eat this FOXX-crap up like it's some kind of subversive thing.

Jeeze Louise can FOXX get any more transparent and manipulative in their tactics???

But that doesn't mean that Alternet doesn't engage in blatant political partisanship.

Instead, why not raise the real issues? For a site that does post video stories on real news, not just (well-intentioned, no doubt) one-sided political diatribes, see

http://therealnews.com/t/index.php

Their coverage is superior in many respects, and doesn't play partisan:

1. Has Obama moved to the right? (2 of 2)

At the AIPAC conference Barack Obama shows that on foreign policy he has moved closer to McCain and Bush June 7, 2008

2. "Apocalypse Now" McCain: Two Israelis disagree

An Israeli ex-intelligence officer and a former Israeli negotiator disagree about McCain's speech at AIP June 3, 2008

3. AIPAC and the candidates

Bernard Avishai: Both Presidential candidates spoke from a position of "accepted consensus" June 5, 2008

That's what unbiased reporting looks like.

This just in: SOME SAY that Fox News is a mouthpiece for the Military Industrial Complex teamed up with Neo-Nazis, Neo-Fascists, and other assorted Neo-Cons. Could this news organization also have ties to Osama Bin Laden, George Bush, and other enemies of America? Details after the break.

This is how Fox opperates, though I am surprised Alternet won't come out and say it. They simply mention something to get the idea out there. They don't need to back it up or provide any reason for it.. just get the soundbite out there.. get the idea out there. Those who will believe whatever Fox tells them to just absorbed a FAR more insidious message than the average viewer. It doesn't constitute a real argument and is hard to pin down to refute, but it does create a sort of cloud.
