FOX News once again had the gall to show up with a film crew to a progressive conference (their last escapade involved an assault on Arianna Huffington at Take Back America). Ironically, this time they were at the National Conference for Media Reform. They're not the only ones with cameras, though!

Of course, as Greenwald points out, this guy in the green striped shirt isn't the enemy per se, but his bosses are. FOX is propaganda, and will be greeted as such. Please digg.

Why not go after CNN and NPR as well as FOX? They all sling the same slop.

They are all corporate media entities, or are funded by various coporate interests behind the scenes. This is true for all of the media in the United States, not just FOX - left, centrist, right - they all line up on the same side on certain issues of great interest to their sponsors.

There is no way around this - all U.S. media is financed by corporate advertising or corporate foundations. Follow the money, and it always leads to Wall Street - not that Wall Street is monolithic, but everyone there agrees on certain things - like reducing the corporate income tax, and increasing government contracting to Wall Street-controlled corporations, and maintaining a rapacious and murderous "foreign policy" (let our corporations steal your resources, or get the Iraq treatment).

Indeed, the two "left-wing" and "right-wing" outlets, CNN and FOX, are owned by the same large Wall Street interests. Their front pages are typically quite similar to one another. Their major shareholder, the quietly secretive DODGE & COX, is the same:

FOX: http://finance.yahoo.com/q/mh?s=NWS-A

CNN: http://finance.yahoo.com/q/mh?s=TWX

For more on Dodge and Cox, see

No difference. All the same. Oh, there might be different fluff on display at the different sites - the emotional tone and flavor is different, but that's just the old sales principle of "different strokes for different blokes", isn't it?

Watching the competition or Checking on their Covert Operatives?

FOX is only the most blanant of the Media Whores. There are So Called 'Liberal' Outlets that act as Nothing more as clearing Houses for the same Disinformation, just targeting a differnt audience
they may not outwardly lie to their audience- but they use the 'Ommission' Technique.
Having Watched the infiltration of some of the Old Guard Institutions over the last 35 yrs- i have no doubt we have Wolves in Sheeps clothing amongst US.Huffington Post has Proven to me it is an covert Operative.
My dad taught me the basics of Boxing as a child. he would swing his right hand enough to distract me- then tap me in the face with the left.Lesson- Never take your Eye off Either!
They placate and confuse US with their Crumbs of Truth while distracting US away from the Real Threats.
NOW has done the same thing.focusing on the rights of Lesbians while allowing Roe V Wade to be taken to the mat, currently on the 9 count and Throwing women a$0.02 raise over the last 35 yrs as evidence of their 'Dedication' to Our Cause.Heckova Job NOW!
Green Peace making a specticle o fthemselves chasing down 'Whaleing Ships' While the Auto industry rolls out their new Gas guzzling lead sled SUV's.
The ACLU clamoring about the 10 commandments outside court Houses and 'Under God' Pledged in theclassroom while nearly all our constitutional Rights are being handed over to the Corps. The Reason many 'Cling to their Guns and God' Only Two rights and Freedoms they haven't been able to pry out of Our near dead cold hands.
I got Banned for HuffPo becasue I dared go on the Business page and Demand those who have cut the legs out from under our economy be held Personally responsible, with the same effects they have caused US to suffer.Freeze & Seize and place their children on the Global Auction block (tongue in Cheek comment, of course). Frankly I think it had more to do with skipping the Corp hand slap punishment and fiens and ALL to do with th ereality that Individuals are responsible for these Corp Crimes.Guess that made someone shit their pants,we might move past 'Corp Responsiblity' and into Personal Liability. OOPs My Bad, for KNOWING Humans, set the agenda and steer the stratedgies of Brick & Mortar.
So I am not distracted by the Likes of the Right- it is only a ploy to get US to look away from the Undercut of the so called "Left"

You should have heard Rev. Lennox Yearwood in the Media and the War session. He was not so gentle with the Fox News folk.

Great conference overall!

The same media that is calling Fox on it's BS is the media that is not covering the Bilderberg conference because they are having their own self congratulating conference this weekend in Minnesota...it's called, get this, the Media Reform Conference. One of the attendees (Dan Rather) was asked about the Bilderberg conference, he stated that he had not heard of that group.

Fox understands what "reform" means in Con-speak

Fox helped form the Con-speak lexicon, where "reform" means "exploit". How can anyone be surprised to see a Faux-Nooze toady attending a Bush-era media symposium?

Where better to distribute the disinformation and create the video clips they will loop endlessly to push Roger Ailes' Con agenda?
