FOX Has the Nerve to Call MSNBC "Biased" and "Political"...

After having the irony neurons successfully removed from their “brains,” the breezy FOX & Friends team were simply shocked—SHOCKED!—that NBC and MSNBC act in a way that they (and the White House) consider to be “biased” and “political.”

That’s right, people on FOX attacked an actual news network for being biased and political, and did it with a straight face. This from a network that was established with the sole focus of having more Republican bias than all the networks combined in an attempt to “balance” the "liberal media" in a way that they and they alone considered to be “fair”? Gretchen Carlson went on to decry how Keith Olbermann dared to tell Bush to “shut the hell up,” claiming that she would never show such disrespect to a president. This from FOX, who owes its very existence to the fact that they were willing to attack, lie about, mock, and demonize Bill Clinton 24 hours a day during his presidency, then continue doing it for years after? This from FOX, the home of Sean Hannity, Bill O’Reilly, Ann Coulter, Michelle Malkin, John Gibson, and every right wing whackjob who can string together a few syllables?

After 9/11, it was declared that irony was dead. But clips like this makes it clear that irony is alive and well and has a happy home wherever a Republican feigns outrage.

P.S. Any chance that FOX’s attack has something to do with the escalating feud between FOX and NBC/MSNBC after executives at MSNBC refused to stop Keith Olbermann from making fun of FOX? Oh, how the self-righteous have fallen…

They keep referring to Olbermann as "that guy". It seems like they are afraid to say his name.

I also seem to remember a lot of disrespect to a former president named Clinton during his years in office coming from Fox. I am sure there were comparable things said about him to "shut the hell up"

Also, if an American citizen is no allowed to go on national television and tell a public servant to shut up then the Republican have truly won and we don't have any civil right left.

I tried to watch a little of Fox the other day and could only stand about 2 minutes of it before I switched back the MSNBC (or, I might have watched a recorded SpongeBob episode with my son).

Take care Alternetters.

Oh brave new world that has such creatures in it! And to think I share a planet with these people, let alone a birthday with that chick in the middle!!! All that is wrong with everything nowadays shows itself in this discussion amongst these brain dead avatars of actual people. As the French students opined in the 60's:The last capitalist will be strung up in the guts of the last bureaucrat as we run from the jack booted thugs of the media liars. All Hail Eris!

Brave new films,

I found the clip Bill O'Reilly divorces from reality to be great, but without a date on it, what use is it historically? We are in a wind tunnel of information. We NEED our bits tied down with at least a date. I youtubed it and found this, Added: March 27, 2007.

That is as good as I could get. I think live TV news has so much other garbage scrolling across the screen, the lack of a date is quite noteworthy in it's worth and absence. Hmm. . .

"These loons are doing damage. Will Americans do anything about it?" Billo

It would be useful for me to know when he said that.

Rovian tactics abounding

This is a perfect example of the deeply ingrained tactics that Rove inspired in the 2004 election. It's very simple: whatever you are being accused of, whatever buzzwords surround you, you try to turn them back on your opponent.
Hence we get things like:
"Liberal fascism"
"NBC is politically biased."
"John Kerry's medals were dubiously obtained."

To cover up for the FACTS: which are..
Fascism is an essentially right-wing movement and always was.
Fox has been politically biased from day one, obviously observable by anyone with a brain.
Kerry actually went to Vietnam, while Bush defended Texas from the Viet Cong Air Force. (but not Alabama apparently.)

What makes me sad is the extent that the public falls for this crap.

FAUX and repugs in general are freaking out because MSNBC finally found some balls

That is why FAUX is being noisy. Not only Olbermann, Chris Matthews has finally had it too, he is really downright pissed. MSNBC is finally really understanding how badly they were manipulated, how badly we were all tricked and lied to, there is enough blame to go around. Better late than never. MANY journalists are finding their lost voices. Dare I quote GWB by using his favorite words of praise? "This is AWESOME!"

Phone MSNBC and tell them, WELL DONE! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!
