The Politico: "Mr. President, you haven't been golfing in recent years. Is that related to Iraq?"

George W. Bush: "Yeah. It really is. Uh, I don't want some mom, uh, whose son may have recently died to see the commander in chief playing golf. Uh, I feel I owe it to the families to be as -- you know to -- to be in solidarity as best as I can with them and I think, you know, playing golf, uh, during a war just sends the wrong signal."

TP: "Mr. President, was there a particular moment or incident that brought you to that decision, or how did you come to that?"

GWB: "No, you know, I remember when de Mello, who was of the U.N., got killed in Baghdad, as a result of these, uh, murderers taking this good man's life and, I was playing golf -- I think it was in central Texas -- and they pulled me off the golf court -- golf course and I said it's just not worth it anymore to do that."

When I heard about this, I just put my head in my hands. His presidency has become too tragic to even make fun of anymore.

What about the wedding?

Just what signal does he think it sends to have some big whomping celebration while being directly responsible for the deaths of more than 4070 American troops based on lies and deceit? How many mothers and fathers will never get to celebrate the weddings of THEIR daughters or sons because of HIM? He has absolutely NO SHAME over the lies he told to get his way. Tell me which LIE is worse------"I did not have sex with that woman."? or "This country DOES NOT TORTURE."? The second lie being told while as many as several HUNDRED innocent people were screaming in pain and fear while being beaten, waterboarded, slapped, punched, stripped naked, threatened by men AND dogs, deprived of sleep, food, water, or whatever depraved punishment Bushie could conceive of?

on this topic. (No link available yet) It was his best yet, and I would urge you all to listen to it. He put things in perspective.

Bush has no shame whatsoever. Every day he continues to occupy the White House is a direct insult to every man, woman and child in this country and in the world. And it is doubly insulting to those who are in the Armed Forces and their families.

What about sending your children to war?
Posted by: zenbruder on May 14, 2008 9:25 PM

Dear George, you once stated that the most noble thing a family can do is have its children serve in the armed forces. Why aren't your children serving? Why aren't Mitt Romney's boys pounding sand? Why do very few of the Republicans and Neocons have family members serving in our military?

I think mothers of soldiers are more offended by the fact their children serve the country and yours live off it and get to have fabulous weddings.

You are a pathetic human being. You have no dignity. You are a traitor to your country and mankind. Have a pretzel.

He's as disconnected as his dad was but completely unable to understand how people perceive him.

What he should give up as inappropriate, besides war itself, in order to recognize the loss of lives is smirking, giggling, tap dancing, brush clearing, oil company patronizing, fear mongering... all of which is the sum of his presidency.

However, if we want to follow W.'s lead, we should give up war driven, nuke'em presidents and politicians. Goodbye GOP.

I must concur with most of the others: Keith Olbermann said it all best, laid the blame squarely where it belongs, made Dubya out for the imbecillic buffoon he really is, and spoke plainly for all of us.

When most of us hear and read and watch such an agonizingly putrid display as this was, performed in public by the man who is supposed to be the moral compass of America, we just get seathingly angry and tongue-tied with rage. Olbermann responded with a controlled and measured vitriol that most of us could never manage.Beats the devil out of listening to Rush, Hagee and the like. And none of Bush's idiotic remarks were taken out of contect or delivered in sound bites or bumper stickers, as was done in the case of Rev. Wright. This was all in real time! That's scarey as hell!

I have come to think, as have many others, that Dubya simply is not connected to any form of reality and is so shielded as to be almost a non-entity. His responses to the questions obviously belie and support that. If you couple that with the somewhat widely held belief that Cheney is just pain nuts, then you begin to understand how we can be in so much trouble. This is so terrribly sad.

He is so fully of crap that is really make me wonder how he manges to stay "untouchable"?

What an amazingly brave question this reporter put in front of him, I wonder how long they thought about this question and/or if Georgie had already received a list of questions in advance?

..........that Bushit gave only reasons about the APPEARANCE of indifference that his golfing gave. Not a word about real compassion or feeling. In other words, he made a purely political statement. No surprise there. Bushit is a loathsome, incompetent, hypocritical scumbag war criminal.

When I first saw the subject line of AlterNet's Peek e-mail (Bush Makes Ultimate Sacrifice), I thought Yes! The scumbag finally committed ritual hara-kiri. Alas, it was not to be. Big disappointment to learn that his ultimate sacrifice was something as trivial as staying off of the golf court . . . er, course.

But, hey, if DUHbya (yes, it's spelled with a capital DUH) wants to be in solidarity with the troops and their parents, he should be leading the charge in Iraq, not sitting around explaining why he gave up golf.

Gee George! Just when I was about to besmirch you for the umpteenth time, as a sign of solidarity with the troops, you go and do something as selfless as giving up golf, or as I [and Oberman] like to call it, chasing a ball with a stick. NEVER EVER let it be said that you didn't do the very LEAST you could do. My country appreciates it and I appreciate it. You are truly a giant . . . and I am completely humbled.

There should be thousands more like him in the Mass Media, except that there seem to be thousands of buttkissers and yellowbellies. Olbermanns speech should be reaired on all stations everytime the jackass in the White House makes another statement.

...Why??? because they're ALL rich thats why!
...How??? because of "GRAFT" thats how!

...When you let idiots run the store... soon the store will be empty...
not only of customers but of goods and services!
it will sell everything it has to get the power...
paying off only those it sees as it friends leaving the rest of us to starve
and then to rebuild!
only for them to step up, reap and destroy once again!
Thats what a Radical Right-Wing Neo-Con Cabal DOES/IS!

...when will you people get it!...
Bush43 is to stupid to be solely involved and,
Bush41 is too honorable to be involved!
Somewhere/sometime... Jr. fell off the truck and hasn't been the same since!
How he got control of the store is what we should be asking...
and how do we prevent this disaster from ever happening again is the main lesson these last 8 years should be teaching us!

So Ya'll... get it through your lil heads.... its "NOT" just Bush43... but his entire support base and organization thats the cause of ALL this!

Whats making this even worse is that this entire republican orchestra is now so outta key that they cant hold a $note$ between them without paying off someone/somewhere!

impeach?... imprison?...
I say go after the King makers and gut this fish before they regroup
and destroy America one more time!
