Rush Limbaugh Can't Get More Bigoted

So why won’t FOX denounce him?

DJK writes:

For far too long, FOX has devoted hours a day pondering why Barack Obama does not denounce comments made by his former pastor, Jeremiah Wright, even after Obama denounced them repeatedly, saying that he does not agree with some of Wright’s statements and that Wright does not speak for him. But FOX has continued to assert that Obama is responsible for everything done or said by anyone who has any association with him, no matter how weak, tangential, or inconsequential.

But if FOX believes Obama should answer for the comments and actions of everyone he knows (as well as anyone those people know), why won’t FOX denounce frequent guest Rush Limbaugh?

Some of you may have heard that last week, Limbaugh was a phone-in guest to FOX’s Live Desk, where he recounted meeting Bill Clinton and Los Angeles mayor Anthony Villaraigosa in New York: "[Clinton] came over three or four times, had Ron Burkle with him and the mayor of Los Angeles, who I thought was either the shoeshine guy or a Secret Service agent."

That’s right — Rush thought the mayor of a major American city was a “shoeshine guy.” Does anyone think that Rush would have thought this if Villaraigosa were white? Yeah, me neither.

But that only touches the tip of a fat, bigoted, misogynistic iceberg. Just check out what Media Matters has on Limbaugh and you’ll get a sense of how truly hate-filled, offensive, and disgraceful Limbaugh is on a regular basis.

So if FOX feels that Obama needs to denounce the statements of Wright, the 40-year-old actions of William Ayers, and a non-existent relationship to Louis Farrakhan, shouldn’t FOX denounce the countless hateful statements of Rush Limbaugh? And shouldn’t they stop inviting him on their channel so he can spout more as he did last Monday?

I put together this little video to illustrate my point. Before anyone gets their undies in a knot, the video is a parody of republican attack ads, largely patterned after this ad from the North Carolina Republican party that tried to connect NC democrats to Rev. Wright because those Democrats endorse Obama. I wish this piece of trash was a parody, but it’s actually a real ad put out by the NC GOP. John McCain claimed he’d “do everything” in his power to stop the NC GOP from running the ad, when in reality, McCain never even contacted them.

George W. Bush has been a guest on Limbaugh’s show, as has Dick Cheney and countless Republican politicians. Shouldn’t they have to explain why they would be the guest of such a racist, sexist, hate-filled liar?

I’m sick to death of Republicans screeching about how Democrats need to answer for anything potentially offensive that’s ever been said or done by anyone associated with a Democrat, yet say absolutely nothing about the hate-filled statements of their champions like Rush Limbaugh, Ann Coulter, Bill O’Reilly, Michael Weiner Savage, Pat Robertson, Sean Hannity, etc. etc. etc. etc. I’m also sick of Democrats not throwing it back in their face and calling Republicans out for it. When Republicans threw a fit over MoveOn’s “General Betrayus” ad (which, as I said before, was factually accurate), Democrats folded like origami, never mentioning the mountains of offensive statements made daily by prominent Republicans and conservatives. If Republicans want to play the game of acting shocked, SHOCKED! at something a Democratic supporter says, Democrats should play that game — because they’ll win easily.

the fact that only IDIOTS watch Fox, that Florida houses and approves these idiots (I do not need to list them here, they know who they are), and in a country that tolerates this asshole, I have to agree with some people who wonder if we are deserving of so many unfortunate catatrophes that have befallen us. I used to be proud to be an American. It is buffoons like Rush Limbaugh, his network, and his followers who make me EMBARRASSED to live in this country. Are Americans THAT stupid???? Don't answer, I already know (My next door neighbor is till riding around with a Bush/Cheney bumper sticker on their car.)

Are you joking?

Rush is the front for the Republican Party on the radio waves; Fox serves the same role on TV.

I am outraged by the disgusting vile people who are allowed to pollute our Airwaves and TV channels. Yet When I demand the financial Criminals be PERSONALLY held Criminally responible for the underming of Our Economy (Freeze, seize & Extradict to their Foreign Creditors) I'm Banned from the HuffPo!Rush can not only spew unwarranted and inciteful Fear &hate, he is allowed to exercise Undue Influence over an Election Process, and Presidential Nomination Convention and NOTHING is done. Not Fired, Not Fined, Not Prosecuted!
These Propagnda mouthpeice whores must be relegated to Short Wave radios! I'm all For Freedom of Speech - We all ahve a right to make and Ass out of ourselves in th epublic square and be verbally pelleted with rotten tomatos for such BS. But comments and suggestions which could usurp our Democratic process must be held criminally liable.
That goes for 'holy rollers' too who Preach a Stratedgy on how to being about 'Armegeddon', they pose a Clear an dPresent danger to our National and Interantional Security.I was only suggesting (tongue in cheek) the Embezzlers may have to pay off THEIR loand to their foreign sponsors with a 'pound of flesh' these sociopathic Meglomaniacs Want to detroy all mankind so they amy be 'Raptured' and they are gathering Political 'leaders' in to their legions. TERRIFYING!

if we took a page from the right's book we could get him off the air. His sponsors are interested in their bottom line.

90% of what they SAY is Crap.
95% of the junk they MAKE is Crap
And
100% of what they DO is Crap.

They change the Faces
That the whole world sees
As they pull the strings.

History is pre-written.
The plan is?
Fill your head with garbage.

They take a giant funnel called The Media.
Shove it down your throat and
Pour in endless BU__! SH__!

It is part of the illusion that you have an effect on the process.
SORRY!
It is another lie.

Everything is done for a reason
To Fool most of the people, most of the time.
It is a contrived, preplanned, badly executed farce.

It is written in Stone, so they can
Bashed you over the head with it.
Take the Humanity out and put the guilt and sin in.

After getting buried in a lifetime of
BU__! SH__!
You start getting used to it and think?
This is normal.

You even begin to sympathize with your Captor.
He’s alright.
He would never do that?

Conditioning and Delusion is prevalent though out.
The Fact is,
The System is an indoctrination tool.

Singing a sweet lullaby while fleecing the Sheep.
The Interest is built in
So they can take it out.

The Rules are for you
To keep you Enslaved.

The Keepers profit from your Pain.

Rush Limbrain - 14M listeners/week
Sean Handpuppet - 13M listeners/week
Michael Weener Savage - 8.25M listeners/week
Glenn Beck - 6.5M listeners/week
Laura Ingrham - 5.25M listeners/week
Neil Bortz - 4.25M listeners/week

And this is only 4 of the top 13 gasbags American rely upon daily for their talking points!

SOURCE

Rush Limbrain is just the tip of the iceberg. He's wildly popular because extremely large segments of the American population are simply too freakin' stupid to understand the difference between fantasy, reality and propaganda.

Silencing the likes of idiots like Limpbrain will do little to quell its thirst for all things insane. It's what the masses have now all come to long for.

I was a film student and a Rush fan and I have to congratulate the very good loop job. Even the "shoeshine" line, this guy even cut out the Secret Service. You feminists know damm well abortions are the "blood in" certification of being a full blown feminist. You guys just amazes me daily. Rush, Hannity and friends earn there mics. I keep saying "until IPOD's start broadcasting AM transmissions liberal talk radio will now work! You have NPR (government funded liberal talk radio). Has it ever occur to any of you Libs that not everyone sees the world the way you guys do? When I hear "fairness doctrine" I see the failures of Liberalism to reach the mainstream. Face the facts, this talk is not divisive, if you dont like it, change the flipping station. I'm not going to tear down the AlterNet/ Huff Post, I find our disagreements amusing however you guys would just try and send people like Rush and I off to GitMo. So much for tolerance.

you can lead people to intelligent information, but you can't make them believe it.

It's also very difficult to find clarity in a pool of information so polluted by the "feces-facts" Rush and his crappy friends endlessly spew.

Rush should be arrested for one: his illegal drug use, and two: his encouraging Republican voters to commit voter fraud, and bragging that they did it by the thousands. Where is the moral outrage, or law, or anything?!

Why is Rush Limbaugh above the law? Why are most Republicans above the law? Why aren't Bush and Cheney in prison for lying to the American public regarding the illegal, immoral war that goes on and on? Where is the moral authority that will bring these criminals to justice? Americans could do it with impeachment, but they're too apathetic, or stupid, or ignorant, or lazy, or scared to do it.

Personally, I think Amerika destined to fall, and I believe the world will be better off when it does. We're a psychopathic nation now, who doesn't care about anybody or anything except money and power. There is no "We the People" anymore. This is Amerika, not America. Better get used to it, because counting on Amerikans to stand up to their trillion dollar military government is going to take more doing than it's got, especially with millions and millions listening to the AM hate-talk radio.

Rush didn't listen to people even before he lost his hearing from drug use. Too bad he didn't lose his voice instead. He should be in prison with the key thrown away. His pure meanness has done so much harm to America, we'll never be the same. The man is the scum of the Earth, and a major player in the downfall of America. I hope he gets his "due" really, really soon.

I listen to Rush. For a good laugh that is. He is right up there with Bill O'Reilly on the moron factor. Are you really surprised that Fox does not
denounce him. The two of them are on the same wave length. Let's point fingers at other people because it's the other persons fault, that is the way Bill, Rush, Fox"news" and every other conservative, extreme right wing, Christian radical does, point fingers instead of turning the finger towards themselves and saying I'm the problem ,not immigrants, gays, blacks, liberals, women, dead people, New Orleans, tree huggers, children in public schools, public school teachers, soldiers who don't like Bush, people with different opinions than their own. You know
critically thinking people.
